It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the Wichita Fire Department (WFD) and IAFF Local 135 announce the line of duty death of Firefighter, Ty Voth. Firefighter Voth was a 5-year veteran of the Wichita Fire Department, Station 5 in central Wichita.On August 1, 2024, Ty collapsed while fighting a residential fire in Haysville, Kansas, during a mutual aide response call. After extensive efforts on scene by fire crews, followed by hospital staff, Ty succumbed to his injury.
Ty served our community with unwavering dedication and bravery, and his untimely passing is deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and our community.

LOCATION: Hartman Arena, 8151 North Hartman Arena Dr., Park City, Kansas 67147Wichita Fire Department and the IAFF Local 135 welcome the participation of visiting honor guards, pipes, and drums to join us in paying tribute to Firefighter Ty Voth. We understand the importance of solidarity and support from our brother and sister firefighters during this difficult time.
